Joseph Lymer was a 3rd generation, family owned funeral directors business. It had been trading for over 60 years from the same premises, serving the local community in a time of grief.
The family took the difficult decision to offer the business for sale because there was no future family succession. They placed particular emphasis on continuing roles and opportunities for the staff, maintaining a local presence to ensure the generations of families who had relied on Lymer’s in the past could do so in the future and for a buyer whose aspirations matched their own.

Lymers was acquired by Jepsons funerals, who were a family owned, 5th generation funeral directors, now under the leadership of two brothers with a bright future ahead of them.
